Police Investigate As Standoff Ends

JACINTO CITY, Texas -- The standoff at a Jacinto City ice cream shop ended in confusion. Monday evening the shop became the scene of a shooting and police standoff, KPRC Local 2 reported.
The suspect in the standoff was shot and killed by a member of the SWAT team.
Nobody was harmed during the standoff but investigators said the gunman stabbed his wife to death.
Police were sent to the Marble Slab Creamery located at 11400 Market St. near Holland at about 5:30 p.m. after a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an armed man barricaded inside the shop, officials said.
Another person has been shot and was still inside the building. The shooting victim's injuries are not yet known.
SWAT officers were sent to the scene to communicate with the gunman.
