HOUSTON -- A man was shot and killed outside a Spring Branch-area bank, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Houston police said the man was killed outside the Chase Bank in the 7800 block of Long Point Road near Wirt Road at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Investigators said four people attacked the man and shot him.

Officers nearby heard the gunshots and chased the shooters, officials said.

The shooters got away, but police caught up with them a short time later.

Officials said three men and a woman were taken into custody. Police said two of the people had recently been released from jail and the other two have extensive criminal backgrounds.

Police have not released the victim's identity.
