1 man dead, 3 teens injured after crash on FM 1960, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies are investigating a crash in northeast Harris County that left one driver dead and three teens injured, officials said.

The accident occurred at FM 1960 near Droitwich Drive at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

A man was driving a Lexus west on FM 1960 when he veered into the eastbound lanes and hit a GMC pickup with three teens inside, officials said.

The driver of the Lexus did not survive the crash, authorities said.

The three teens, ages 16, 17, and 18, were inside the pickup.

The 17- year-old girl and 18-year-old boy were taken to the hospital by Life Flight.

The condition of the 16-year-old is unknown.

Deputies found no sign of alcohol.

According to authorities the roadway is unlit in that section of FM 1960, officials said.
