A man is dead and a woman was injured after a shooting at outside a southwest Houston restaurant.
Houston police responded to the shooting around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning at a parking lot of a restaurant near West Bellfort and Braes Forest.
Upon arrival, police found found blood and shell casings on the ground in the parking lot. Officials said patrons had run from the scene.
Houston police later discovered that two people were shot and both were taken to the hospital.
Official said the man, identified as 27-year-old David Harriot, was taken to St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head, where he later died.
The woman was transported in stable condition to Westside Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.
