A teenager was shot and killed Wednesday night in Channelview, Harris County deputies said.

Investigators said Christopher Sandoval was standing with a group of friends when an altercation occurred with Anibal Marroquin, 19, at 6:30 p.m. near the 14900 block of Crondrell at Tenderden.

Detectives said Sandoval took a gun from his waist and shot Marroquin several times.

Marroquin was transported to LBJ Hospital were he was pronounced dead.

Sandoval remains on the loose, officials said.
