HOUSTON -

The award-winning photographer and filmmaker whose work includes portraits of some of the biggest names in our culture is in Houston for a screening of his new film.

Timothy Greenfield-Sanders' work includes photos and documentaries, including his 1998 film "Lou Reed: Rock and Roll Heart," which won a Grammy.

He's in town for the screening of "The Out List," which features conversations with high-profile members of the gay and lesbian community.

"I'm very proud of this body of work, these films on blacks, Latinos, gays, this work is very important to the work I do in my life," he said.

The film is being shown at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston on Monday at 6 p.m.

Greenfield-Sanders photography exhibit will be on exhibition at Hiram Butler Gallery through November 30.

Both are free to the public.
