Pump Patrol: Save 40 cents a gallon

HOUSTON – The average cost of a gallon of gas in Houston is $3.28. But some stations around town sold regular gas for 40 cents less.

The following three stations sold gas for less on Thursday, according to www.GasBuddy.com.

• Murphy USA, Kuykendahl near F.M. 2920 in Spring: $2.88
• Sunrise Food Mart, Federal Road near East Freeway: $2.99
• Phillips 66, East Freeway near Calles Street: $3.09
