Texas To Hold Unclaimed Property Auction

More Than 210 Items In Houston

Unclaimed property appraised at more than $750,000 is on the auction block -- courtesy of the state.

Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander said the property, including rare coins and historic documents, has been kept in unclaimed safe deposit boxes.

In all, more than 210,000 items will be auctioned off, Rylander said.

The auction will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Sam Houston Race Park, 7575 N. Sam Houston Parkway W., in northwest Houston.

Registration for the auction will begin at 8 a.m.
