Parks Department Holds Summer Job Fair

Fair To Be Held Saturday

Those looking for summer jobs can check out a job fair this weekend.

The City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department will hold its seventh annual "Cool Summer Job Fair" Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the following locations.

  • Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center, 2020 Hermann Drive
  • Mason Park Community Center, 541 S. 75th Street

The jobs are in aquatics, summer meal services, and recreational facilities and programs.

Job titles include recreation assistant, community relations specialist, pool supervisor, head lifeguard and lifeguard.

All applicants except for those in the aquatics division must be 18 years old by May 15, and possess a high school diploma and Social Security card.

Those in the lifeguard positions must be 16 years old by May 19, be strong swimmers and capable of completing the department's free lifeguard certification program.
