Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Freeway

HOUSTON -- A man was killed when he tried to cross a freeway on foot, KPRC Local 2 reported.Houston police said a driver hit the man as he tried to cross the northbound lanes of the North Freeway near Quitman Street at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.Police have not said why the man was trying to cross the road.The driver is not expected to face any charges, detectives said.
