Web Site Cuts Down Phone Trees

POSTED: Thursday, May 3, 2007

When was the last time you climbed a tree? Not the green kind, but a phone tree? You know the annoying prompts -- press one for this or two for that.

Frustrated consumers are always asking KPRC Local 2 investigative reporter Amy Davis for ways to cut down the time-consuming phone trees. On Thursday, she showed off a service many might like.

There is definitely a market for those looking to save time.

The latest service to help you do that works like your own personal assistant. But this one is free.

The service is online at www.nophonetrees.com.

Bringo has mastered the phone trees of dozens of companies -- from auto to communications to financial services and more.

Consumers click on the company they want to call and give Bringo the number. When a live operator finally picks up the phone, Bringo calls you to connect the line.

The owner of Bringo insisted that his company does not share phone numbers with anyone else.
