Big Brother Watches Over Your Car
HOUSTON, Updated 10:34 a.m. CDT July 6, 2000 -- You can do a lot of things over the Internet, but until now, getting your car repaired was not one of them.

Even the fastest connection won't allow you to upload an entire car or download a mechanic. But a Houston-based company has developed the next best thing -- JoeAuto.com. It lets you keep a watchful eye on your car, thanks to Web cams in every bay.

The CEO of JoeAuto.com, Lynn Graham, says his company invented the repair solution to save you time, letting you be where you want to be while your car is repaired.

JoeAuto.com will even give you a digital phone for the day so you have one-button access to your mechanic.

Just like the Internet, technicians work around the clock, and if you get your car in before 7 p.m., they promise to have it done by 7 a.m. Graham says the system gives the customer control of his or her schedule.

JoeAuto.com opened its first Texas location in Tomball the week of April 16. But the company plans to open several more in Houston and across the nation.
