General Position Description:
KPRC TV Local 2, the Post Newsweek owned - NBC station in Houston, Texas has an immediate opening for a multi-media journalist to photograph news stories for presentation on-air.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include editing, producing, and assembling video for daily newscast and operating live microwave equipment under strict deadlines. Must coordinate with producers on rundowns and scripts, adhering to strict deadlines, as well as work closely with photographers, assignment desk personnel, and the remote coordinator. The successful candidate must be able to speak live from news scenes from behind the camera, articulately and clearly during live shots. Must be prepared to work irregular shifts including weekends, early mornings, nights, holidays, available for on-call duties, and able to travel on short notice.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years full time photography and editing experience in daily TV news
  
• Ability to operate TV news gathering equipment including live microwave, knowledge of SNG truck helpful
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with daily deadlines and changing priorities
• Maintain discretion, maturity, and composure, especially under pressure
