HOUSTON -

After chances for storms Saturday and a cool-down for early Christmas week, the holiday itself should pass with little fanfare in terms of weather.

Christmas Eve will be sunny during the day and clear at night.  Highs Christmas Eve will top out near 60 degrees, with temperatures quickly dropping through the 50s when the sun goes down.  For those of you with plans to be out later in the evening, jacket-friendly temperatures in the 40s will prevail.

On Christmas day, expect a cool start, with temperatures in the low 40s under mostly clear skies.  By afternoon, temperatures will be seasonable, in the low to mid-60s.  Skies will be partly cloudy.

No matter what your plans are this year, take comfort in the knowledge Mother Nature should be smiling on us this Christmas.  Enjoy!
