HOUSTON – Two more Houstonians have been diagnosed with West Nile virus.
City officials said a southwest Houston woman between 25 and 34 years old and a northeast Houston man between 55 and 74 are the latest people to be diagnosed.

Three Houstonians diagnosed with West Nile virus have died this year.

Last year, the number of West Nile deaths in the city of Houston was zero.

Harris County has reported six human cases of West Nile virus.
A Wharton County man who lived in El Campo also died after being diagnosed with the virus.
Two people in Fort Bend County and four people in Montgomery County have been diagnosed with the virus.
Thirty-three people in the state, including the three in Houston and the one in Wharton County, have died. Dallas County has the most deaths at 11.
Most people become infected within three to 10 days of a bite from an infected mosquito.
Symptoms include fever, headache, body tremors and visual problems.
Doctors said if you start to feel any of these things you should seek medical help right away.
