HOUSTON -- Here Everything's Better stores on Saturday announced a recall on all ground beef items purchased from the meat department at the Houston Highland Knolls store on Friday, Feb 13.
H-E-B said the precautionary recall is the result of an equipment malfunction that may result in the presence of metal fragments within the meat products.
The company said the recall is specific to fresh ground beef products sold at the H-E-B Store at 497 Mason Road in Highland Knolls only, which includes those packaged on Styrofoam trays and covered in cellophane wrap.
Customers are urged to look for ground beef products purchased on Friday, Feb. 13 with a sell-by date of Saturday, Feb. 14 at 7 a.m. or 12 p.m. and return them to the store immediately for a full refund, H-E-B said.
The company said no injuries have been reported at this time and no other stores have been impacted.
