Bagnato's Sister 4-Year Survivor
Bagnato's sister, Melanie Kurtz, is a four-year survivor. She is now helping Bagnato fight breast cancer."The way my sister handled it was amazing, and that's the shoes that I want to step into," said Kurtz."She's pretty blunt and tells me how things are going to be and doesn't sugarcoat nothing," said Bagnato.Bagnato is a regular at the cancer center, but she doesn't mind. She will come week after week until she's cancer free. She hopes her daughter doesn't have to do it, and she worries she might not be here when her kids grow up."It's something I try not to think about too much, but it's in the back of my mind," said Bagnato.Bagnato worried about herself and her unborn baby. She was induced and gave birth to her son, Jack, four weeks early. He's the reason she keeps fighting."There's no way she's going to give up," said Kurtz. "She's too feisty.""If I have to fight to the end, then that's the way it's going to be," said Bagnato.Distributed by Internet Broadcasting.
