Can Experts Read Woman's Sex Life In Walk?

Type Of Orgasm Affects Hips, Gait, Study Says

POSTED: 10:21 am CDT September 16, 2008

Experts can tell if a woman usually has a certain type of orgasm during sex by the way she walks, according to a new study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Researchers in Belgium asked volunteers about their sex lives, including what types of orgasms they have and how often. Ten women said they always or often have vaginal orgasms and 10 who said they never or rarely do were then asked to walk while being videotaped from a distance. They were also told to think part of the time about a beach vacation and part of the time about being with a man they love.

Two trained sexologists and two other researchers -- none of whom knew what the women had reported -- watched the tapes and came to conclusions about the subjects' answers.

The panel was able to correctly predict if the woman had vaginal orgasms more than 80 percent of the time.

The authors of the study said that the experts could have been picking up on changes in body rotation and stride length. Those differences could be related to how internal structures affect the different nerves that help control a woman's ability to have an orgasm as well as the type.
