The Children’s Museum of Houston (CMH) vows to wow during its 2012 Summer of Fun!
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, CMH will open its doors 7 days a week to uphold YOUR right to fun. A dedicated daily itinerary including courtyard games and dance party, along with weekly themes, special guests and live performances combined with exhilarating exhibits and tantalizing activities await you this summer at "America’s No. 1 children's museum" (Source: Parents magazine).
A KID’S RIGHT TO FUN
CMH makes a sincere plea to parents to make their children's fun possible no matter the hurdles. It is a human need and a human right for their children to have fun. And since summer doesn’t last forever and kids grow up so fast, they have got to make this one count! This is their time! Pack an entire summer of fun at CMH without breaking the bank.

Don’t Fry Day
CMH wants you burned out of fun, not sunburned this summer! “Don’t Fry Day” is a national holiday which creates awareness about the dangers of the sun. Make sun visors, silly sunglasses and more! Save $1 on admission when you bring any new chapstick or travel-size sunblock, May 25 – 28. We will donate these to our service members. In their honor, up to 6 people can receivefree admission with an active duty military ID, May 25 – 28. (Cannot be combined with other offers; one discount per item per person)
Instructables®: Made in Your Mind
Strap your thinking cap on and put your problem-solving skills to the test in this new hands-on, do-it-yourself exhibit. From a duct tape wallet to an electric instrument controlled with light, creating your own projects is fun as long as you have a maker attitude. Based on the concept of the Instructables® website, this exhibit presents adaptations of many projects along with all the materials necessary to complete them. Through an ever-cycling menagerie of activities such as a mini-air cannon and pocket flashlights you can make and you can do!

We’re geek and proud. Let your inner geekiness come out to play. Experiment with Newton’s 1st and 3rd Laws of Motion when you design a package system that will survive a 14-foot drop. Embark on a whirlwind adventure with game shows every day. Challenge your brain to learn the basics of physics when you program a robot and more!
Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Superman! The Man of Steel will “fly in” to celebrate his own birthday. We’re throwing him a birthday bash complete with “Happy Birthday” singing, supersized “cake”, and dancing to the Superman song.
