HOUSTON -- A Houston family that went from three to seven instantly is getting an outpouring of support from the community, Local 2 reported Wednesday. The Breedlove quadruplets were born two months ago and have already made their national television debut. The rare identical quads were born without the help of fertility drugs.
When mom Shelley Breedlove first found out she was carrying identical quads, she did not have time to think about how she and her husband would pay for all the expenses."I never went through all the panic stages. You just handle one issue at a time," she said. After the birth of Adelle, Bonnie, Chloe and Daphne, the Breedloves planned to squeeze their growing family into Shelley's parents' house to save money. The couple already had one child, Logan, when the girls were born. But when word spread about the miracle births, the Breedloves said their prayers were answered.Jim McIngvale, of Gallery Furniture, arranged for the family to live in a brand-new house, fully furnished, for one year for free."It's an incredible home for these wonderful deserving parents with precious children," McIngvale said. The Brazoria County house comes with free yard service and free utilities for one year.Toys-R-Us donated high chairs, bedding and strollers, and Luby's donated a free meal once a week for one year. The attention has been a bit overwhelming for the grateful couple."I've seen stuff on the news before of other families that have had multiples," father Eric Breedlove said.Since the infants are still hospitalized, the Breedloves can't wait to take them home to their new 3,200-square-foot house. It even has extra room for helpers."Mom will have a bedroom to come over and spend the night," Shelley Breedlove said. The Breedloves have the option to buy the house at cost at the end of the year. TexStar Motors also donated a 15-passenger van to the family.Gallery Furniture, 6006 North Freeway, is holding a diaper and formula drive for the Breedloves through Memorial Day weekend. Donations can be dropped off at the store.Monetary donations can be made at any branch of Compass Bank in the name of Shelley and Eric Breedlove.
