Roger Clemens is known for his powerful pitches from the mound. He's a baseball legend and hometown hero. But his wife is also making a name for herself as a designer, News2Houston reported Tuesday.

"I think (Roger) enjoys my creative side, the things I do, the stuff that I come up with that's really kind of about him," Debbie Clemens said.

One of her projects was a Christopher Radko Christmas ornament that commemorates Roger Clemens' 300 wins in the major leagues. Debbie Clemens designed it.

From wine caddies to bar stools to ornaments, there seems to be no end to her creativity. But her main focus is the female baseball fan.

"I don't know why they haven't put any fashion flair into baseball," she said.

Debbie Clemens has taken it upon herself to fill that void, designing a variety of items and selling them through the Roger Clemens Foundation, which supports a variety of children's charities.

Rhinestone hats flew off the shelves at the All-Star FanFest for $75 each.

Hats with Roger Clemens' signature went for $100.

"I thought -- what a deal. You're getting all my hard work of putting the rhinestones on the hat and getting (it for) $25 less," Debbie Clemens said.

Her next big item for the fall is custom-made denim jackets trimmed in mink.

"I may put rhinestones on it, and then my butterfly's the touch," she said.

This is the Christopher Radko ornament that Debbie Clemens designed in honor of her husband's 300th win.

All of her items have a central theme -- baseball.

"We thought this would be really fun. I took All-Star bats of Roger and had them made into a stool," Debbie Clemens said.

The stools are then hand painted and signed by her husband.

In fact, The Rocket signs nearly everything. So much for retirement.

Debbie Clemens said she did not plan her career as a designer. It just kind of happened. She now has a booming business on her hands.
