I'll take 'Trebek Raps' for $500, Alex: 'Jeopardy!' host raps during show

Trebek reads lyrics from songs by Kanye West, Drake

CULVER CITY, Calif – 'Jeopardy!' host Alex Trebek showed off his rapping skills during a recent episode, spouting lyrics from several popular rap artists.

On Monday's episode, part of the show's College Championship, contestants got to pick from several trivia categories, including one called, "Let's Rap, Kids!"

Every question was a lyric from a rap song. Contestants had to guess (in the form of a question, of course) which artist sang that lyric.

Each time a contestant picked that category, Trebek read the lyrics. They included "Started from the bottom now we're here, started from the bottom now the whole team here." Those lyrics came from Drake's hit song, "Started from the Bottom."

Trebek also read lyrics from songs by Kanye West, Lil' Wayne, Kendrick Lamar and Desiigner.

The 'Jeopardy!' host has rapped on the show before. According to the "Today" show, he read lyrics from Beastie Boys and Grandmaster Flash during an episode in 2014.
