Don Pardo, the longtime announcer for "Saturday Night Live," died Monday in Tucson, Arizona, according to published reports. He was 96 years old.

Pardo was with "Saturday Night Live" from the show’s first episode in October 1975, and performed the introductions for 38 seasons, missing only Season 7.

He was also the announcer for television game shows "The Price Is Right" and "Jeopardy!"

Pardo’s death was confirmed by his daughter, Dona Pardo, according to the New York Times.
