According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes's parents will "file legal docs in the next few days handing over the conservatorship over their daughter to someone else," therefore ending their legal involvement in the life of their former-child-star daughter who has had multiple run-ins with the law over the past few years. But Bynes is just one of many child stars who have found early success a hard act to follow and struggled with the transition to adulthood.

Actress and singer Amanda Bynes rose to fame in her early teens on the Nickelodeon sketch show "All That" before getting her own comedy sketch show, "The Amanda Show," from 1999 to 2003. She also starred in movies such as "Big Fat Liar," "What a Girl Wants" and "She's the Man" as well as the sitcom "What I Like About You."
