(CNN) -

Given the level of interest in even the grittiest of details about Whitney Houston's death, it does make sense that some might view the locale where the star passed on as something they'd pay money to learn more about.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Dearly Departed tour company has added the site of Houston's death at the Beverly Hilton to their Dearly Departed's Hollywood Tragical History tour.

"It is what we do," said owner Scott Michaels, who founded the tour company seven years ago. "And it's not far off our current route."

The two-and-a-half-hour narrated tour costs about $40 for adult admission, and covers the death sites of Michael Jackson, River Phoenix and Bela Lugosi. A tour guide breaks down the facts surrounding a star's death, and in the case of Houston, for example, the narration would include a note that toxicology results are still pending.

"To some people, there's just no defending" what his company does, Michaels told the Times. "But we're not jumping on any bandwagon. This is what we do."
