And George Clooney's Oscar goodie bag goes for … $45,100.
That's according to
The United Way, who is the beneficiary of the auction started by the "Syriana" Oscar-winner. Clooney is a member of the Board of Trustees of the organization.
"Mr. Clooney has been a generous supporter of United Way's efforts to rebuild lives and communities devastated by the 2005 hurricanes," the United Way said in a statement. "By auctioning the gift bag, United Way and Mr. Clooney hope to continue to focus attention on the long-term needs of the Gulf Coast areas devastated by the 2005 hurricane season as well as raise funds for ongoing rebuilding and recovery efforts."
Among the items in the bag were a Frette cashmere and leather-trimmed travel blanket, a Kaye Unger vintage silk kimono, and a Tara cultured Tahitian pearl necklace.
Other items included a two-night culinary escape at the Bernardus Lodge in Carmel, Calif., a six-night stay in a luxurious suite at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa, and a Fairmont Hotels and Resorts vacation package at one of three destinations.
Clooney also promised to include a handwritten thank-you note to the winner along with the package.
According to The United Way, the winning bidder was only identified as Rolltide. The auction was set to end at a minute before midnight Wednesday, but was extended in five minutes because of a high volume of bids in the closing minutes. The auction ended when no more bids were received, said The United Way.
Clooney won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar earlier this month for the political thriller "Syriana."
He was also nominated for co-writing and directing a Best Picture nominee, the Edward R. Murrow biopic "Good Night, and Good Luck."
In other Clooney news, Warner Brothers announced Tuesday that the actor, along with Brad Pitt and Matt Damon will star in "Ocean's 13."
Clooney will reprise his role as leader of the pack, Danny Ocean, with the group pulling off a new heist in Las Vegas.
Steven Soderbergh, who made "Ocean's Eleven" and its sequel "Ocean's Twelve," will direct again. Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones, however, will not be back for the third "Ocean's" installment.
