'Sith' Gets Revenge At People's Choice Awards

LOS ANGELES -- The last installment of filmmaker George Lucas' "Star Wars" saga was a big winner at the 32nd annual People's Choice Awards Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
"Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" won two PCAs -- one for favorite movie and the other for favorite movie drama.
The wins are sweet revenge for Lucas, whose film has not turned up in any major movie award races this year.
The film, which chronicles Anakin's Skywalker's (Hayden Christensen) transformation into Darth Vader, was the top grossing film of 2005.
Another box office blockbuster, the Owen Wilson-Vince Vaughn comedy "Wedding Crashers," was named favorite movie comedy.
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and television star Jennifer Garner also won multiple awards.
Garner, of the drama "Alias" and the action movie "Elektra," was chosen favorite female action star and female television star.
DeGeneres was honored as favorite daytime talk show host and funny female star.
Johnny Depp again was named favorite male movie star and Sandra Bullock took female honors.
Brad Pitt returned as favorite leading man.
On television, the winners included "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," which was named favorite drama and "Everybody Loves Raymo nd," as favorite comedy.
"American Idol" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" won for favorite reality show (competition) and favorite reality show (other), respectively.
The People's Choice Awards were presented at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The nominees were determined by editors at Entertainment Weekly, the People's Choice production team and a panel of pop culture fans.
Winners were voted on by fans online.
