A country music singer with a perfect score won the finale of the fourth season of "Gimme The Mike Houston" Thursday night.

With a top score of 40, Christy Suggett faced Lakisha Jones, who scored a 39, for a second round "sing-off."

Following the second round, the judges awarded Christy 40 points and Lakisha 37 points, making Christy the grand-prize winner of the popular talent show on KPRC Local 2.

Here's how the judges rated each contestant's performance.
  • Christy Suggett, 40. She sang "Here For The Party."
  • Robert Bell, 37. He sang "You'll Never Find."
  • Lakisha Jones, 39. She sang "And I'm Tellin' You."
  • Allison Luff, 35. She sang "Gimme Gimme."
  • Dorian Allen, 34. He sang "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child."
  • Rachel Escobar (wildcard choice), 33. She sang "Unchained Melody."

Twenty-five talented singers battled it out onstage in August and September to make it to the final round.

More than 20,000 viewers voted on Click2Houston for their favorite performer not picked by the judges after each episode aired. Then, all five episode favorites competed in the final online voting for the wildcard round. Rachel Escobar was the wildcard favorite who moved on to compete in the finals.

The grand prize winner received a Jeep Liberty Renegade from Lawrence Marshall Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 850 Business Highway 290 North in Hempstead.

Christy also received a two-song recording deal with the legendary SugarHill Recording Studios, located at 5626 Brock Street. The package includes music arrangement, recording and mixing with Houston's leading production staff, among other prizes.

Hundreds of talented Houstonians packed Dave and Busters, 6010 Richmond Ave. at Fountainview, to try out for the series.

KPRC-TV Local 2, along with KHMX 96.5 FM and MEGA 101 FM, held the open auditions on June 11 and June 12. Contestants 16 years old and older were allowed to try out.
