Tisdale Says Surgery Not For Vanity

LOS ANGELES -- "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale said that she's gotten a nose job -- but it wasn't for vanity purposes.Tisdale told People magazine's Web site that the rhinoplasty procedure in Los Angeles Friday was for a deviated septum on the right side of her nose, which has contributed to a breathing problem that has been bothering her for a long time."The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose," Tisdale told People.Tisdale said that she is not an advocate for plastic surgery and wouldn't recommend it to anyone."I didn't do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health," Tisdale said.
