People Names Matt Damon 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Dempsey, Pitt Among Top 5

People magazine has given birth to a new "Sexiest Man Alive" -- "Bourne" film star Matt Damon.

The Oscar-winning screenwriter and star of "Good Will Hunting" and the "Bourne" trilogy will be featured on People's annual "Sexiest Man Alive" issue this week.

Following Damon on the list are actors Patrick Dempsey, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt and Scottish thespian James McAvoy -- who stars opposite Keira Knightley in the upcoming drama "Atonement."

Rounding out the top 10 are actors Johnny Depp, Dave Annable, Will Smith, Javier Bardem and Shamar Moore.

Also among the 100 "Sexiest Men" featured on the People Web site are last year's "Sexiest Man Alive" George Clooney, as well as actors Taye Diggs, Leonardo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington, Neil Patrick Harris, Shia LeBeouf and Hugh Laurie.

Singers Tim McGraw, Usher and Keith Urban also made the cut.

The "Sexiest Man Alive" special double issue features 141 men in all.
