When it comes to eating vegetables, apparently there's no one sexier than country singer Carrie Underwood and Jay Leno's bandleader Kevin Eubanks.
They've been voted the World's Sexiest Vegetarians for 2007 in a monthlong poll on Peta.com.
Eubanks had help winning People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals's World's Sexiest Vegetarian man. Jay Leno has had a weeklong rally urging "Tonight Show" viewers to vote for him. This was Eubanks' first win.
Tonight Show viewers logged on in large numbers, pushing Eubanks ahead of his competitors. PETA said Eubanks is long known for his buff body, in addition to his musical skills.
"Every night before the show, I make sure [my] guitar is perfectly tuned. And every day, I do the same for my body -- with healthy, vegetarian meals. It's the easiest way to stay fit and feel great," Eubanks has said.
Underwood didn't need any help. She'd won the title two years ago.
Underwood said she is a lifelong animal lover.
"I quit eating beef when I was about 13," she has said. "I do it because I really love animals and it just makes me sad," she said. "I don't like to watch commercials where they have meat. It weirds me out."
Red-carpet runners-up include Heroes hottie Milo Ventimiglia, dashing actor Joaquin Phoenix, sexy sleuth Kristen Bell, Spider-Man 3's Bryce Dallas Howard, 30 Seconds to Mars vocalist Jared Leto, and Die Hard beauty Maggie Q. Tens of thousands of votes were cast.
Previous winners of PETA's World's Sexiest Vegetarian contest include Prince, Natalie Portman, Shania Twain, Chris Martin, Andre 3000, Tobey Maguire, Josh Hartnett, Alicia Silverstone, and Lauren Bush.
