BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Actress Lindsay Lohan is back in rehab following an arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence over the weekend, according to TMZ.com.
TMZ said that Lohan was accompanied by her lawyer as she checked back in to the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, Calif., Tuesday. Lohan did a stint at Promises earlier this year.
Sources told TMZ that Lohan will be involved in "a serious medical treatment program."
The 20-year-old Lohan was arrested Saturday after she allegedly crashed her car on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Two other people were riding with Lohan when her Mercedes SL-65 convertible allegedly struck a curb.
In a news conference Saturday afternoon, Los Angeles police Sgt. Mitch McCann said that it appeared Lohan was speeding. McCann also said that officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of drug they believed was cocaine.
The "Mean Girls" star was arrested following a 911 call about the accident, and was arrested at a nearby hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
McCann said Lohan was arrested for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, although he declined to give her blood-alcohol level.
Less than 48 hours after her arrest, Lohan was featured in a photograph on X17online.com wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, with her mouth open and her eyes shut, apparently asleep.
Another photo shows her kneeling on the ground, her back to the camera, apparently before getting into the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Lohan's father said that he wants to talk with his movie star daughter, especially after her weekend arrest.
Michael Lohan is a recovering alcoholic. He's served time behind bars for assault, and Lindsay Lohan hasn't spoken with him in years.
Now a minister who helps youth kick addictions, Michael Lohan said that he wants her to "just get in touch" with him so they can get their father-daughter relationship back on track.
Michael Lohan blamed outside influences for his daughter's troubles.
"Too many people are around Lindsay because of what they can get from her, instead of Lindsay herself and caring about her," Michael Lohan said.
He also suggested that people cut her some slack because of her age.
"She's not just the goose that laid the golden egg, she's a child, a human being, and people just have the wrong motives and intentions," Michael Lohan said.
Lindsay Lohan's arraignment date has tentatively been set for Aug. 24. She may face additional charges including felonies, McCann said.
Lindsay Lohan is currently starring opposite Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman in the comedy-drama "Georgia Rule."
Her previous films include the Disney films "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Herbie Fully Loaded," as well as "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Just My Luck."
