Radcliffe and co-stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who play Ron and Hermoine, respectively, originated the roles with "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in 2001. They've since played the Hogwarts trio in 2002's "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," 2004's "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and 2005's "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."The next film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," is due in theaters July 13 -- a week ahead of the book release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."Radcliffe turns 18 on July 23.The actor has been targeted in the media lately for his controversial role on the London stage in "Equus."In the play, Radcliffe plays a troubled stable boy who mutilates horses. He also swears, smokes and appears nude in the production.Warner Bros. has stood by the performer for his choice to play the role."Daniel Radcliffe is an extremely talented actor, as well as a great collaborator and friend to Warner Bros. Pictures," the studio said in a recent statement. "We've had great experiences working with him on our films and fully support him in the artistic choices he makes as an actor."
