How to Enter: KPRC Local 2 Houston and the Ellen Degeneres Show at Universal Orlando Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00 p.m. CST on or about Thursday, March 1, 2007 and ends at 11:59 a.m. CST on Saturday, March 17, 2007 ("Sweepstakes Period"). For purposes of this Sweepstakes, all times refer to Central Standard Time ("CST"). No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited. To enter, access the Sweepstakes Web Site at www.click2houston.com. ("Web Site"). Once there, click on the Click2Win link and follow the Ellen links to the Sweepstakes home page and entry form. Then, complete and thereafter transmit the entry form ("Entry"). Information required on the entry form (collectively "Entry Information") consists of your first and last name, complete address (including zip code), telephone number (including area code), date of birth, e-mail address. Entrants will receive one (1) Entry per day. Limit one (1) Entry per person/per email address/per Entry Period; maximum of twelve (12) Entries, total, per person/per email address for the entire Sweepstakes Period. All entries must be received by the end of the final Entry Period, 11:59 a.m. CST on Saturday, March 17, 2007. All required Entry Information must be completed in full. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void.
Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is only open to legal U.S. residents who are physically located and residing within the terrestrial broadcast signal geographic area of KPRC Local 2 (Counties of Harris, Chambers, Liberty, San Jacinto, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, Walker, Austin, Fort Bend, Wharton, Matagorda, Grimes, Brazoria, Calhoun, Colorado, Jackson, Polk, Trinity, Waller, Washington) (‘Geographic Area") who are 21 years of age or older as of March 1, 2007. Employees of NBC Universal, Inc., KPRC Local 2 Houston, Ellen Degeneres Show, Universal Studios, Universal Orlando, Skycastle Entertainment, Inc., Sullivan Compliance Company, those involved in the development, production (including prize suppliers), implementation and distribution of this Sweepstakes, their advertising or promotion agencies, parent companies, agents, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates, participating stations, service providers, any other persons or entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes (collectively "Sweepstakes Entities"), members of their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouses), and/or persons living in the same households as such persons (whether related or not) are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes.
Prize/Odds of winning: One Prize: Winner receives accommodations to be shared by winner and one (1) guest ("Guest") at Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida ("Prize"), consisting of the following: Roundtrip coach-class airfare for two (2) from Houston, TX to Orlando, FL; Hotel accommodations, (room and tax only), for up to two (2) people in a maximum of one (1) room at a hotel selected by Universal Orlando in its sole discretion, for three (3) consecutive nights (hotel accommodations do not include meals, incidentals, tips, telephone calls, or any other personal expenses incurred during the trip); . Ground transportation between the hotel and the Orlando International Airport; Two (2) complimentary 3-Day/2-Park Tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure; Two (2) tickets to March 30, 2007 taping of the Ellen Degeneres Show in Orlando. Prize must be taken March 29 - April 1, 2007. If winner is unable to take Prize during that time period, winner forfeits the prize package and another winner will be selected. Guest must be 18 years of age or older in order to attend Ellen Degeneres Show taping in Orlando. Winner and Guest must travel at the same time, depart from the same city, and attend events together. All prize elements must be redeemed at the same time and used in the time period listed above. All unused elements remain property of Universal Orlando. The approximate Fair Market Value ("FMV") of the Prize Package (for one winner and one Guest) is $1,833.50. Prize dates subject to Show's production schedule. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible Entries received. Accommodations subject to hotel availability, holiday and blackout dates, and all other prize and restrictions. Travel and hotel arrangements to be determined by Sponsors. Sponsors in their sole discretion, reserve the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation. Once determined, no change, extension or substitution of Prize dates is permitted, except by Sponsors at their sole discretion. Sponsors may choose Prize dates at their sole discretion, subject to availability and scheduling exigencies. If Guest is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian, who must be the winner. Winner and Guest are solely responsible for all costs, incidentals, and expenses not specifically mentioned as being included, including but not limited to any requested product upgrades/options, ground transportation (other than that specified above), meals, phone calls, and gratuities. Should a winner choose to take Prize with no guest, then the remaining elements of the prize shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsors' prize obligation to winner and no additional compensation will be awarded. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prize (or prize components), except that Sponsors may substitute a prize (or prize component) of equal value for any reason. In the event that a prize component is not available for any reason, then the remaining elements of prize shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsors' prize obligation to winner and no additional compensation will be awarded. Any depiction of prize is for illustrative purposes only. All federal, state, or other taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 from the Sponsors for the total FMV of the prize (for winner and guest), as stated above, won in the calendar year the prize was won.
Drawing and Notification: The one (1) potential winner will be randomly selected in a drawing on or about March 19, 2007 ("Drawing Date") from among all eligible Entries received by Sweepstakes Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes. Potential winner will be notified by phone, mail and/or email within approximately two (2) days of Drawing Date. If potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted, if he/she is found to be ineligible, if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, and/or if his/her prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected from the remaining eligible Entries, at Sponsors' sole discretion. If such alternate potential winner is selected, Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may substitute a prize of similar or greater value
General Conditions: Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules and all federal, state, and local laws (collectively "Rules and Laws"). Potential winner, at Sponsors' sole discretion, will be required to execute, sign, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, a Publicity Release (where legal) and any other documentation that Sponsors require (collectively "Affidavit/Release"), within two (2) days after receipt by potential winner or potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsors' sole discretion. Guest (his/her parent/legal guardian if a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor), at Sponsors' sole discretion, will be required to sign, execute, have notarized, and return a Liability Release, a Publicity Release and any other documentation that Sponsors require within two (2) days after receipt by potential winner. By returning the completed Affidavit/Release, Potential winner attests to the authenticity of his/her winning Entry. Once submitted, Entries become the sole property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any personal information supplied by entrants to Sponsors or their affiliates will be subject to Sponsors' Privacy Policy. Thus, except where prohibited by law and Sponsors' Privacy Policy: (1) entry and/or winner's acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use winner's name, address (city and state), photo, likeness, biographical information, statement and voice for advertising/publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further notice to or compensation in connection with said Sweepstakes or the prize awarded and (2) Sponsors have the right to modify, edit, adapt, electronically alter, use, assign and/or dispose of such Entries however they see fit and for any purpose without any notice or compensation to entrant or any third parties. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Sweepstakes will be prosecuted and is not eligible for the prize. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsors at their sole discretion, reserve the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Sweepstakes or any portion(s) thereof and conduct the drawing from all salvageable eligible Entries received, if any. In case of a dispute over the identity of an entrant who submitted the winning Entry, Sponsors reserve the right to deem the registered subscriber of the email account to be the entrant.
Disclaimers: Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible or liable for multiple Entries beyond those authorized by these Official Rules. Entries that are entered by other than human means (such as by an automated computer program or any non-human mechanism, entity, or device) will be disqualified. Entries that are illegible, late, tampered with, forged, incomplete, misdirected, lost, misplaced, stolen, destroyed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. By entering Sweepstakes, entrants agree and acknowledge for entrant and for entrant's heirs, executors and administrators to be bound by the Rules and Laws, as well as the decisions of Sweepstakes Administrator which are final and binding in all respects; and to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with the Rules and Laws, and that Sweepstakes Entities shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with: participation in this Sweepstakes; human error; incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry Information; acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of the prize awarded herein; any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, internet service provider; interruption or inability to access Sweepstakes, Web Site or online service via the internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems; any damage to any entrant's (or any third person's) computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from any part of this Sweepstakes; any lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruptions, defects and/or any other errors or malfunctions, even if caused by the negligence of one of the Sweepstakes Entities. Entrants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability resulting or arising from their participation in the Sweepstakes and/or the acceptance and/or use of the prize, and to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Sweepstakes Entities, and hereby acknowledge that said Sweepstakes Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to prize. Sweepstakes Entities shall have no responsibility or liability for cancellations and/or delays or any change by the air carrier(s), lodging facilities, or other company or any other persons providing any of components of the prize for the winner and his/her guest due to reasons beyond Sponsors' and/or Sweepstakes Entities' control. The failure of Sponsors to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of Sponsors (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.
Winner's Name/Rules: For the name of the winners or for an additional copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: KPRC Local 2 Houston Ellen Degeneres Show at Universal Orlando Sweepstakes, "RULES"/"NAME OF WINNER" (specify which), P.O. Box 6614, Burbank, CA 91510. All requests must be received by May 16, 2007.
