Kendleton ISD May Shut Down
Texas Education Agency Revoked District's Accreditation
A small school district in Fort Bend County may soon shut down, KPRC Local 2 reported.
The Kendleton Independent School District is fighting for its accreditation after the Texas Education Agency revoked it this week.
The TEA said the one-school school district has very low test scores.
The school district has already filed an appeal. If the appeal is turned down, the district will close on July 1 and merge with another district.
The TEA has not said which school district would take on the extra students.
