Students at a Houston junior high school were told to stay home Monday after classes were canceled.

School Closing

Houston Independent School District officials told News2Houston that an isolated power outage has forced them to close T. H. Rogers Junior High School, 5800 San Felipe, in southwest Houston.

While students get the day off, teachers are required to show up for regular work hours, school officials said.
