HOUSTON -- Students at a northeast Houston middle school went home early Wednesday because the North Forest Independent School District suddenly canceled their classes, KPRC Local 2 reported.
School district officials said classes were dismissed at Tidwell Elementary shortly before 11 a.m. because of "facility problems."
Officials declined to specify what was wrong with the facility and how long the problem had been going on. Officials have not said if the problem could have an impact on the health of the school's teachers, staff and students.
Parents were allowed to pick up their children and school buses were taking some students home.
