HOUSTON – CenterPoint Energy launched a new website Monday to help consumers chose the electric company that best fits their needs
The site, mytruecost.com, does cost comparisons so people can find the company with the best rate.
TrueCost uses a home's past usage to estimate a monthly cost with any company. If a home has a smart meter, CenterPoint can automatically download that data from the past 12 months.
Ten electric providers were signed up for the launch, but more are expected to take part.
