Picture of obese mannequin 'horrifies' Reddit users

Mannequins at retail stores tend to be thin, modeling the latest trends in slender sizes. But an unknown store is daring to model larger body types with a mannequin that is obese.

A Reddit user posted a picture of the mannequin under the title, "Anyone else horrified that they make obese mannequins now?"

The post garnered hundreds of comments, and many are criticizing the overweight mannequin.

While it's no secret the U.S. has many overweight citizens (according to the Centers for Disease Control, more than one-third of American adults are obese), department stores have generally stuck to using slender mannequins to model clothing.
