Facebook users could soon shop using Messenger

Facebook is working on a way for users to shop at brick-and-mortar stores and pay using its Messenger app.

According to tech website TheInformation.com, customers would be able to use the Facebook Messenger app to skip the checkout line altogether. Many stores are already using Messenger to handle customer service.

In other business news, the highly anticipated virtual reality headset, Oculus Rift, is in the mail. The company started shipping headsets on Monday. So far, the new high-tech device has earned rave reviews.

Oculus Rift was started four years ago with funding from Kickstarter. Two years later, Facebook bought the company for $2 billion. HTC and Sony are working on their own versions of virtual reality devices for release later this year.
