HOUSTON – For people who feel like they can't get away from their technology, there's a growing trend of helping people unplug.
Digital detox is what people are calling the trend of silencing their cell phones for prolonged periods and enjoying life in real-time.
At a camp in North Carolina people surrender their devices and spend time in analog activities. Participants said that while they felt anxious without their tech, they were there to unwind.
Researchers said there are benefits to a digital detox, citing blue light from devices that can interfere with sleep patterns.
