HOUSTON – There are some free holiday events you can attend this weekend, and a couple of companies want you to try their products for free.
There will be a special tree lighting ceremony at Missouri City's annual Snowfest Festival. It's at City Hall, 1522 Texas Parkway, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The Houston Symphony will perform holiday classics Friday night at the Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular at The Woolands Pavillion. Mezzanine and lawn seating is free. Santa will be there, along with carolers and snow.
At The Woodlands Mall from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, children ages 3 to 6 can be Santa's helper at the Elf Academy. Each participating child will get a personalized Elf Academy certificate signed by Santa and Rudolph.
