Anthony Lazo, a professional puppeteer, said he parked his truck in front of a restaurant on the Gulf Freeway at Winkler Drive on Sunday.

When he came out, his truck and red cargo trailer were gone and he called the police, Lazo said.

The truck was found early Monday, but the trailer and the puppets were missing.

Lazo said the puppets were more than a business supporting him and his family.  He said it was a ministry.

"It's just pure puppets," he said. "We got mascots.  We have everything we work with.  It's me and my wife.  It's a ministry that we've been having for 10 years.  We do puppeteering for different churches."

Anyone who has information about the stolen trailer full of puppets is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
