Apple to unveil one, maybe two, new iPhones on Tuesday

HOUSTON – It may be the worst kept secret in the tech world: Apple is unveiling one, maybe two, new iPhones on Tuesday. As usual, Apple is not saying a word, but our Consumer Expert Amy Davis has the scoop on what we can expect from the new iPhone.

For starters, the new model may be called the iPhone6. Some Apple enthusiasts noticed that a new app in the App Store says it is "optimized for the iPhone 6," leading many to believe that is what Apple is naming the new device.

Most of the other leaks about the new phone are coming from third party companies Apple has hired to help make the new phone. Parsing through the leaks, the most credible rumors reveal the new iPhone will have a fingerprint sensor that you'll use instead of typing in a password, a faster operating system and an improved camera with a better flash so your night shots won't look as washed out.

The new iPhone will be available in a gold or champagne color and maybe a lighter shade of gray.

You may have heard that Apple is releasing another iPhone Tuesday also. Experts say it will be a sort of "low budget" iPhone. But don't expect it to be cheap.

Analysts believe the Apple iPhone 5C will cost between $400 and $500 without a contract.
