Texas EquuSearch gets large donation

HOUSTON – A Dickinson, Texas-based group that searches for missing people around the country and world got a big donation.

Texas EquuSearch's founder, Tim Miller, posted on the organization's website that the charity received a $10,000 donation.

Local 2 reported last week that the group was worrying about its future after a volunteer was accused racking up at least $4,700 in charges on one of the charity's credit cards and then thieves took off with equipment and search gear.

Miller said without donations like this one, the charity could not exist.
