22 entertainers announced for 2012 Rodeo

Alabama opens the show

HOUSTON – The full entertainment lineup, including 22 acts, was announced on Monday for the 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Individual tickets will go on sale on Saturday at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-726-1313 or in person at all Ticketmaster locations, including Fiesta and H-E-B stores. Ticketmaster locations in the Houston area will be distributing linestubs beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m.

VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards will be accepted online, in person and for phone orders.

On Monday, Jan. 16, tickets will be available at the Reliant Park box office with no service charge.

Ten-ticket limits were enforced on the opening day of ticket sales for Big Time Rush, China Anne McClain from A.N.T. Farm, with The McClain Sisters, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley.

Monday through Friday rodeo performances will begin at 6:45 p.m. and weekend rodeo performances will begin at 3:45 p.m. All performances begin with rodeo action, followed by the star entertainer.

Season Tickets

Season tickets start at $336 per seat.

"These Season Ticket and Mini-Season Ticket options give you literally stars from A to Z, offering a rich array of entertainer talent," said Skip Wagner, president of the Show. "With a Mini-Season Ticket option starting at less than $150 for nine different performances, you'd be hard pressed to find a similar value anywhere else in the city."

Mini-season ticket packages, with nine performances in each option, are also available to purchase.

Mini-season ticket package seating is located in the loge and upper levels of Reliant Stadium. Option A can be purchased for $154 in the Upper Level and $189 in the Loge Level; and Option B can be purchased for $146 in the Upper Level and $189 in the Loge Level, plus shipping and handling.

Upper-level tickets on Value Day Wednesdays will be priced at only $10, rodeo officials said.

Black Heritage Day, on Friday, March 2, and Go Tejano Day, on Sunday, March 11, will be sold as individual tickets and are not included in the mini-season ticket options. They are available in the full season ticket lineup.

Season tickets and mini-season tickets can be purchased by calling the rodeo's ticket office at 832-667-1080, by visiting the rodeo's ticket windows on the second floor of Reliant Center or online at www.rodeohouston.com.

The show's ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Season tickets and mini-season tickets are not available at any other ticket outlet, including Ticketmaster.

The 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a nonprofit charitable event, committed to benefiting youth, supporting education, and aiding better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation. Since 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has contributed more than $265 million to scholarships, research, endowments, calf scramble participants, junior show exhibitors, the Rodeo Institute for Teacher Excellence, School Art participants and other educational and youth programs, officials said.

The 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be held Feb. 28 through March 18.
