HOUSTON – The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo will debut a new stadium stage during the 2018 show, according to Chairman of the Board Jack Lyons.
The rodeo's executive committee approved construction of the new stage as part of a strategic, long-term plan to improve the show, the chairman said.

The new stage will replace the rotating stage that has been in use since 1986.
"While our current stage [...] has hosted hundreds of entertainers, it's critical that we upgrade this presentation so that we continue to attract the best entertainers in the business," Lyons said.
