Police search for suspect in hit-and-run accident

Mother, daughter injured, sent to hospital

HOUSTON – Houston Police Department investigators are asking for the public's help in finding a person responsible for a hit-and-run accident that sent two to the hospital.

According to a Crime Stoppers press release a 27-year-old female and her 7-year-old daughter were riding a go-kart in the 3000 block of Parker Road at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Sunday when a maroon Lincoln sports utility vehicle struck them, then fled the scene.

The 27-year-old female sustained a broken arm and a separated shoulder, and the 7-year-old sustained bruising and an injury to the head. Both were transported to a nearby hospital where they received treatment, according to the press release.

The suspected vehicle is described as 2010-2012 Lincoln Navigator or Lincoln Aviator.

It is believed that the driver is a Hispanic female.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that may lead to the filing or arrest of the suspect.
