More than 1 dozen vehicle burglaries investigated in Harris County

Police believe 1 suspect in all burglaries

SPRING – Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables are investigating more than a dozen car break-ins, and they think one man is responsible for all of them.

On Monday morning the Gleannloch Farms neighborhood had five cars broken into. One of the homes was equipped with a video surveillance system that recorded images of the suspect stealing several items from two SUV's that were parked in a driveway. The suspect took his time, spending nine whole minutes going through the vehicles and choosing what he wanted to steal.

"He is very comfortable with what he's doing," said Assistant Chief Mark Herman with Precinct 4. "He's out there at one o'clock in the morning, and it's like he's shopping at Walmart."

The man stole several items, including shopping bags and a stroller. Local 2 spoke to another victim who said his car was also broken into and $2 was taken. It seems that the car burglar may not be picky.

"Law enforcement wants this guy really, really bad," Herman said. "It will give us an opportunity to clear up a few cases out here in Northwest Harris County."

Police believe the man drives around in a white Nissan Frontier 4-door pick-up truck. It has an extended cab with a luggage rack on top and a white bed cover.

Anyone with any information on these crimes is urged to call (281)376-3472.
