HOUSTON - Houstonians gathered Sunday morning to support babies who were born prematurely, or with birth defects, at the March for Babies
The funding raised at the March for Babies supports programs that provide comfort and support to moms and babies across the country, as well as cutting-edge March of Dimes research to find the unknown causes of premature birth and birth defects.
The event focused on celebrating children and parents who experienced the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or special care nursery. They recognized families throughout the day with loads of fun in the kids’ zone.
For the first time this year, participants were able to walk through a Memory Mile and visit a March for Babies Memory Garden. Families who have experienced loss were able to plant a flower in the butterfly garden to remember their babies.
All of us are March of Dimes babies. Find out why here.
